The Citizens Bank Building was designed in 1911 by Daniel Hudson Burnham, a Chicago architect, considered one of the early twentieth century’s preeminent architects. Burnham’s other famous buildings include the Flatiron Building in New York City, Reliance Building in Chicago and Union Station in Washington D.C. He was also the mastermind behind Chicago’s World’s Columbian Exposition.
